Scriptural Foundation for the Gospel - Part 1 of 3 / Pastor Rick

Hello Church The following is part 1 of a 3 part message providing the scriptural foundation for the gospel. We know that the gospel is Jesus Christ and what He has done for us through His life, passion, death and resurrection. Paul warns us against preaching another Jesus and another gospel. If we stick to scripture alone, we will not fall under the curse he outlined in Galatians 1:6-9 How the scriptures present the true biblical gospel? 1. The genuine gospel: labeled In the King James version, the word gospel appears 98 times. The scriptures identify the gospel in a number of ways. An exemplary scriptural reference follows every identification. the gospel Mt.11:5 this gospel Mt. 26:13 the gospel of the kingdom Mt.9:35, Acts 20:24-25 this gospel of the kingdom Mt. 24:14 Christ's gospel II Cor. 2:12 the gospel of Christ Ro.15:29 the gospel of Jesus Christ Mk 1:1 the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ II Thes. 1:89 the gospel of God Ro. 15:16 the gospel of the grace of God Acts 20:24 m...

"Know-so Salvation" - A message from Pastor Rick

Good morning church, Since we are still unable to meet together as a body, I thought I would write and share a message of faith and  blessing. The New Covenant is a contract that God happily binds Himself to. Whoever comes to me, I will never cast out Jesus said. We come to Him as sinners and He makes us saints.  Jesus wants us to know that we are saved; that we have passed from death to life; that no condemnation awaits us; that we are accepted in the beloved. Know-so salvation sounds like arrogance...but nothing could be further from the truth. Know-so salvation is the gift of God. Simply hoping to be saved is contrary to the gospel of Christ, because salvation then depends on you and your righteousness and not entirely on His person and work.. And Jesus did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. We are to repent from trusting anything but the blood of Christ to save and sanctify us. The blood of Jesus Christ His son, alone cleanses us from all sin. When ...

Are you scared of the devil?

My dear Partner in Christ, This is not a charming story!  It is the true reality! What you are about to read is based on the Word of God and the Work of His Spirit in our personal life (my wife and me), and how He led us, as we passed through real experiences and situations, while helping people, in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, by snatching them from the fire of Hell, the teeth of the devouring Beast, and the grip of the Red Dragon, and bringing them almost dead to the Source of all Life, Jesus Who is the Resurrection and the Life, and Who in fact saved them, revived them, and gave them life again, and confirmed to some of them His eternal life since they truly and heartily trusted themselves into His mighty hands. Through these experiences, we learned how the Word of God is true and real in practice and our daily life, His Holy Spirit is all-Powerful in all matters whatsoever, the name of His Son is the highest and the greatest name in heaven and earth, and that t...

Never say "I don't know" - Sunday Sermon: Pastor Fadi

Today is better than tomorrow! Take my word: Never say "l don't know!" When the rains shower, and the winds blow, You will find refuge in God's shadow.   When your sins stand in your face and show How dark your heart is, and how narrow Your door looks, so no guide to follow... Then your hope is in Him, dear fellow.   I gave you the first word, it is "know". Do you know what is next? Yes or no?  What is the second word? Plow and sow! Hold the torch, open your eyes, my bro'.   If you ask, seek, and knock: look below To the least, to the last, to the low  To the East, to the West, in the row You will find next to "know" what l throw.   Who in the Bible said "l don't know"? But he lied! Didn't care! It was so! We should not do and walk with the flow; We should know, do the good thing and glow.   We are His light on earth, white as snow, May we be in His hand an arrow To send us, where He wants; come and ...
