Are you eternally saved?
My dear Partner in Christ,
In these difficult days when we cannot attend church normally, here is another written message/study that I would like to share with you, without you hearing my voice but at least reading my mind and heart...
Please, take your time in reading the following study.
Don’t read it fast.
This is not a “hello” message.
It requires a set-up time, place, and state of mind, so choose:
- the right time, which could be in the morning, at night, or during the day.
- the right place: your preferable seat,
- and the best state of mind: relax (but certainly, don’t sleep), stay alert, and study one idea at a time…
And, stop at every important idea, meditate, pray, and ask God for help, forgiveness, clarification, patience, repentance, understanding, and guidance…whenever needed…
Finally, my only wish is that I sincerely would like to share with you, and everyone else, what Our dear God had given me, so that everyone would get the same blessings and rejoice in Him in His eternity, as I am now and forever will be.
I sincerely thank the Lord for you:
- Your personality,
- Your smile,
- Your seeking,
- Your devoted zeal,
- Your alertness,
- Your sincerity,
- Your commitment, &,
- Your love to the Lord and His children...
- among many other great qualities which Our heavenly Father has bestowed on you.
I can clearly see how you want to please Him in your life and conduct here on earth, wishing and wanting to be with Him THERE around His eternal throne.
Think of the following:
Are you saved eternally?
Who is your Savior?
Can you understand Trinity a bit better?
However, I would like to assure and confirm to you, based on and according to His Holy Word, which is ONLY in the Bible, that:
- 1. Being eternally saved, washed by His Blood, & forgiven for all our sins,
- 2. Knowing assuredly that we will eternally live in the Father’s House,
- 3. Declaring undoubtedly that we have received His eternal life,
- 4. Announcing verily that we are covered by His righteousness,
- 5. Being sure that we are indwelt by His Holy Spirit Who can be embedded in us and will stay in us forever,
- 6. Confirming truly that we will never be condemned... & last but not least,
- 7. We will never lose our eternal state in Him, no matter what…
All of them are and can be true ONLY because of HIS:
- 1. Suffering Love, Sacrificial Death, and Redemption Work on the Cross,
- 2. Grace, Love, Peace, Lovingkindness, and Mercy: to save us from our sins.
- 3. Righteousness, Perfection, Truth, Justice, & Holiness: when He endured God’s judgment in His Body because of our sins & for our salvation.
- 4. Powerful Resurrection & Final Victory over death, sin, Satan, and hell,
- 5. Holy Spirit’s Conviction, Regeneration, Justification, & Sanctification,
- 6 Eternal Plan of the Father to save the sinful humanity by the Power of His Holy Spirit & the Accomplishment of His plan by the Son, Jesus-Christ,
- 7. Promise of Glorification/Redemption of us all: spirit, soul & body…
All the above points are confirmed in the Scripture mainly through:
· John, chapters 10, & 13-17.
· Romans, chapters 4-9, & 12-14.
· Titus 3.
· Rev. 5, & 20-22.
These are very important chapters.
There are several other chapters from various places in the Bible.
But, in order to truly confirm or base the above points on solid ground, we need to know the content of these chosen chapters: to read them, understand them, and take notes of the related verses.
I prefer to ask each one of us to find the related verses in these chapters, so that you may do the search, and find the treasures....
I can certainly put each verse(s) beside each point… as I did in the preparation of the “Confession or Statement of Faith” for our churches. But, it is better that you do it.
=========================================
Our salvation is so great that no creature can plan, accomplish, or offer to us! That’s why ONLY God can do it all.
This is why the Bible specifies, in Ps 49: 7-15, for example, that no man can save us, and that ONLY God is Our Savior and Redeemer:
7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
8 For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceases for ever:
9 That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption..................
15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
God wants to offer to us HIS gift(s): to each one of us, for He loves the world, not half of it, but all of it! (John 3:16).
1 Timothy 2:4-5 (God) who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
He certainly: requires from us to COME to Him: ask, seek, and knock… and to love Him from all our hearts, minds, souls might, strength, and power.
Matt 7:
- 7 Ask, and it shall be given you;
- seek, and ye shall find;
- knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth;
- and he that seeketh findeth;
- and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
DEUTERONOMY 6:5 "And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
Matthew 22:37-39 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment.
So, being:
- Saved,
- Forgiven,
- Assured,
- Confirmed,
- Certain,
- And all the other terms or states which the “true” believers claim, declare, and announce to be, are all based on what HE, and He alone, had decided to do, accomplish, give, and bestow on us: if we sincerely repent and heartily believe in His redemption plan of salvation in the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
==============================
Who gives you and me the eternal life?
The Lord Jesus is the ONE Who gives us the Eternal Life:
John 10:27-30
27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30I and my Father are one.
If He hadn’t decided to GIVE us His eternal life: no one could get it at all, no matter how sincere and zealous we are!
We will never get it by ourselves!
So, we all thank Him because He has already put this thirst in our hearts to seek Him, and He is doing everything, possible and impossible, to draw us near to Him, because His pleasure is with us, the descendants of Adam, so that we may spend eternity with Him.
(Prov 8: 31, Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights are with the sons of men)
Also, in Revelation 3: 20 & 21
- Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:
- if any man hears my voice,
- and open the door,
- I will come in to him,
- and will sup with him,
- and he with me.
- 21 To him that overcometh
- will I grant to sit with me in my throne,
- even as I also overcame,
- and am set down with my Father in
his throne.
So, Our Lord Jesus:
- He stands at our door,
- He knocks and waits,
- He gives us His gentle voice.
- He wants you & me to open the door for Him,
- He expects from us to open the door for Him to
enter to us, and,
- He helps us to open the door for Him to enter to
us, so that
- He may enter in, inside, into your and my heart,
mind, soul, spirit, communion, fellowship, and all our beings... because,
- He loves to:
- sit with you & me,
- sup with you and me, and
- stay with you and me... forever...
We don't ask or wonder why, because this is the true meaning of LOVE:
- We don't ask the One Who loves, WHY He loves???
- Because the true meaning of LOVE is that HE loves us WITHOUT any question,
- beyond any and every wonder,
- above any and every level, and
- far greater than our imagination.
God is LOVE!
Please, take your time to read the 1st epistle of John.
Don't read it fast.
It is only 5 chapters.
AND, please:
Put on the side, underline, or highlight, every verse which includes the word love or any of its meanings: like in the form of verbs, nouns, & adjectives, or in reference, etc.
And read the following verses from John 15: Jesus says,
12 This is my commandment,
- That ye love one another,
- as I have loved you.
- 13 Greater love hath no man than this:
- that a man lays down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends (that's, MY beloved), if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth:
- but I have called you friends (beloved); for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me,
- but I have chosen you,
- and ordained you,
- that ye should go and bring forth fruit:
fruit of His LOVE in them/us: which means that He wants them and us to:
- WIN others to Him, & that is only possible
- by His Spirit of LOVE,
- and that your fruit (His love in them/us) should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world,
- but I have chosen you out of the world,
- therefore, the world hateth you,
........................................................
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin:
- but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law,
- They hated me without a cause.
26 But when the Comforter is come
- whom I will send unto you from the Father,
- even the Spirit of truth, which
- proceeds from the Father,
- he shall testify of me:
27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
=========================================
So, pay attention to the following:
- JESUS COMMANDS you (& me & the world), exactly as GOD commands in His Word:
- 12. This is MY commandment,
- That ye love one another,
- JESUS LOVES you (& me & the world), exactly as GOD so loved the world (John 3:16),
- JESUS can put in us His love: "As I have loved you".
- JESUS loves the greatest love which NO ONE else than Him has:
- 13 Greater love hath no man than this:
- that a man lays down his life for his friends.
Now, imagine, reason, and pay attention:
- Not the Father, (although Jesus and the Father are ONE)
- Not the Holy Spirit, (although the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father and the Son),
- BUT literally: it is JESUS (the Son) Who died on the Cross!
- The Father didn't die on the Cross!
- The Holy Spirit didn't die on the Cross!
- and certainly not any creature,
- angels,
- humans,
- or else,
- No one has this GREATEST LOVE to die on the Cross in order to save you and me, and to lay down His life for all of us... BUT JESUS!
- JESUS alone has the Greatest Love!
============================
In Dec. 1979, at age 17, when I realized how much Jesus:
- loved/loves me... &,
- HE, the only PERFECT, GREATEST, & SINLESS ONE,
- bore my sins on Himself,
- shed His own blood for me,
- suffered the eternal agony in hell for me,
- agonized eternally, infinitely, & unlimitedly, so that I don't agonize there forever,
- took the Ultimate Justice of God on Himself in my place,
- endured the Divine Just Punishment to save me,
- was accused & condemned by God (not only by Satan or sinful humans) in my stead,
- left His eternal glory which He had with the Father BEFORE Creation, for me,
- BEFORE the foundation of the world which definition is: BEFORE Time, Space & Matter!
- &, He died for me, so that I may live in Him...
So: I right away couldn't go away from His love!
And I understood that if Jesus was someone else than God, or if Jesus is totally separate from God, then, He, Jesus, is better and greater than God!!!
Since,
- if Jesus was not God, and
- He did everything listed above,
- and even more, according to the Scripture,
- crossing from the True Light to the Eternal darkness of sin, death, Satan, & hell,
- taking the ETERNAL punishment of my sin,
- and the SIN of the whole world, on Himself...
- While God was sitting on the Throne watching Jesus doing it all, then:
- Jesus is GREATER and BETTER than God!!!
- He is My Redeemer, not God!
- He bore My punishment, not God!
- He is My Savior, not God!
- He can forgive me, He is My Forgiver, not God!
- He sacrificed everything, even Himself, for me, not God!
- He left His eternal glory for me, not God!
- He gave everything, even Himself, for me, not God!
- He expressed to me the ultimate love, not God!
- He has the love which no one else has, not God!
- His love is GREATER than God's love, according to John 15: 13 Greater love hath no man than this:
- that a man lays down his life for his friends! Since,
- He has this ultimate sacrificial love, not God!
- He truly loves me, not God!
If Jesus was not God, then He is BETTER AND GREATER than God!
However, the Bible confirms very clearly that GOD is the only:
- Savior,
- Redeemer,
- Forgiver,
- King, &
- Holy One, etc.
And so many more Names, Titles, Attributes, & Deeds, etc... which I will present with the exact verses from the Bible, later on, in the coming parts of this study:
So, if Jesus ONLY is ALL the above!
And, God ONLY is ALL the above!
Then, Jesus is God, (with the Father and the Holy Spirit)!!!
=====================================
So, I clearly understood that Jesus is God, since it is impossible that all the above list (and much more, over, & beyond) would not be of or from God.
At the same time, Jesus is, has, & has done "things" different from/than the Father or the Holy Spirit, as each one of them is, has, & has done different "things" from/than Him & each other.
Different, yet not Opposite or Contradictory, but rather Complementary, so that it is always logical, acceptable, & divine, to understand, believe in, and declare that:
- Each One of them is God; AND, at the same time,
- All of the them are God.
Well, this truth is very clear, acceptable, and logical in Mathematics (if in Arithmetic, it is not possible, because Arithmetic is limited to addition, substruction, multiplication and division).
With Math and Science studies and background/teacher, I didn't have any difficulty with the following equation, since it is very clear, acceptable, and legitimate:
- Only in Arithmetic, 1 + 1 +1 = 3 (not 1).
So, Peter + James + John = 3 persons; not 1 person.
- But, in Mathematics, ∞ + ∞ + ∞ = 3 ∞ = ∞.
So, the Father Who is ∞ + the Son Who is ∞ + The Holy Spirit Who is ∞ = 3 ∞ = ∞ = ONE / ONLY ∞ GOD!
Now, each one of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is not only a "person", like Peter, James, or John...
But each ONE of them is "above, more, different, &, at least, beyond" the earthly meaning of a person.
Our earthly human language doesn't have any other word for Who each One of them is!
In English, we use the term "Person" to represent each One of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
While in Syriac and Arabic, the Christians agreed to use the term: Knoumo, or Ouknoum, or Aqnum to represent each One of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
So, Aqnum of the Father Who is ∞
+ Aqhum of the Son Who is ∞
+ Aqnum of the Holy Spirit Who is ∞
The 3 of them are: God Who is ∞
And again: ∞ + ∞ + ∞ = 3 ∞ = ∞
Father + Son + Holy Spirit = 3 ∞ = ONE & ONLY GOD Who is ∞.
=========================================
Now, I close today's message with the words which Our Lord Jesus said in John 15:
14 Ye are my friends (that's, beloved), if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth:
- but I have called you friends (beloved); for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me,
- but I have chosen you,
- and ordained you,
- that ye should go and
bring forth fruit (fruit of His LOVE in them/us: which means that He wants them and us to:
- WIN others to Him,
- by His Spirit of LOVE,
- and that your fruit (His love in them/us) should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world,
- but I have chosen you out of the world,
- therefore, the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.

See you in the next message, by His grace.
Fady.
