Ramona's Corner- when you fast II

When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. Matthew‬ ‭6:16‬.

Prayer: My loving Savior, I praise You and worship You because when I repent You forgive me and You erase my sin. I devote my entire being to You to be more sensitive to Your voice, and more attuned to obey what You have to reveal to me. 

Father in heaven, I communicate with You through Bible reading and prayer. Fill me with  a greater empowerment of Your Holy Spirit, Your graciousness, compassion, mercy, and love so that others can see my love because of You. Use every circumstance, even my failure, for Your glory and honor. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. 🙏.

Thoughts and Encouragement: If you have any particular physical condition that requires a strict diet, be especially mindful not to put yourself in a compromised position as a result of a fast. There are other types of fast that become of the more common fasts in our culture:

TV/Movie Fast and Social Media Fast: Take some time and just spend it with God. Pray and worship and listen to Him. Let Him show you the great treasures of His Word from the Bible.

  So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love. Ephesians‬ ‭3.17‬. Prayer : I give thanks to You Lord Jesus, for Your unfailing love and Your wonderful deeds for mankind. You are my anchor and my close friend. You’ve blessed me. Teach me each day to give You thanks. Father God, Your Spirit renewing and transforming me and continue to give me the strength and courage to rest in You. I appreciate Your promise to be our Guide. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6. 17-18‬. Prayer : Jesus, You came to rescue us. You gave Your body and Your blood to be for us the food and drink of new and unending life in You.  Dear Father, You love me when I don’t deserve it. It isn’t easy to forgive and love someone who hurts You. But You give us a second chance.
